KEMMLIT supplies Shopping Center LOOP 5 with cubicles

On the motorway between Frankfurt and Darmstadt Loop5, one of the largest shopping centres in Germany has come into being.

In total 200 million Euros have been invested in the project. The main theme of the centre is air and space travel, which is reflected in its design and architecture.

The name Loop relates to air travel and refers to the proximity of Frankfurt airport and the flight control centre of the European Space Agency (ESA) in Darmstadt.

The visitors are guided through areas in the design of "contemporary air travel" and "pioneers of flight history", which are connected with the theme‚ "jet-age" and make for a unique ambience of shopping, recreation and entertainment.

 

A folded glass ceiling spans the dining area. With a surface area of over 56,000 M², an attractive selection of 170 leading brand shops await the visitors.

The centre has a catchment are of a million people. Both operation companies anticipate 40,000 to 60.000 visitors a day. Furthermore around 1000 new jobs have been created.
