KEMMLIT once again “Brand of the Century”
For the second time in a row, the market leader for sanitary room furniture was included in the exclusive circle of German “Brands of the Century” at the end of November 2024. It is another great success for KEMMLIT – a seal of quality that you cannot apply for or buy – and which is valid for three years.

An important award

KEMMLIT has always set the benchmark for the industry
As Langenscheidt explained at the award ceremony in Berlin, the award-winning brands, as “the” highlights of German entrepreneurship, offer their customers trust, reliability and quality. This is exactly what KEMMLIT, with its current workforce of almost 300 employees, stands for, emphasized Reisch: “For us, the most important question is always: What’s in it for our customers?”
“KEMMLIT has always set the decisive standards for the industry through top quality and outstanding processing services,” said Reisch.
Since the last award of the brand seal, KEMMLIT has continued to develop. “We have grown in sales, including internationally, have increased our production capacity enormously by building a second factory building and have also continued to work consistently on sustainability issues with the construction of a CO₂-neutral wood chip plant and PV systems,” explained Reisch.

As part of the Kemmler family of companies founded in 1885, KEMMLIT began producing the first toilet partitions made of building material panels at the end of the 1940s. At that time, the company was still part of Kemmler Baustoffe and the company headquarters were in Tübingen. At the end of the 1960s, the company began to give its high-quality products an attractive appearance. This was so successful that the independent KEMMLIT-Bauelemente GmbH was founded in 1967.
While KEMMLIT was initially Germany’s qualitative and quantitative market leader in the WC partition wall product segment, the brand is now the recognized number one in the pan-European market and enjoys a high reputation in the international construction industry. Today, the portfolio includes high-quality partitions, lockers and cleanroom furniture. Since 2006, KEMMLIT has made it its maxim to consistently combine the highest quality and unique design. KEMMLIT also continues to set new standards in the industry through numerous innovations.

This has been rewarded with numerous design and innovation prizes. In the last ten years alone, KEMMLIT has received over 15 prestigious awards, including renowned design prizes such as the Red Dot Award, the iF DESIGN AWARD or the Plus X Award – and innovation prizes such as the Top 100 or the Großer Preis des Mittelstandes. In 2020, KEMMLIT was one of the winners in the ranking of Germany’s most important medium-sized companies due to its continuous sales growth and other positive values.
KEMMLIT currently employs around 300 people and achieved a turnover of around 57 million euros in 2023. The company attaches great importance to continuous process optimization in line with KAIZEN.
