Our corporate culture
At KEMMLIT, we don’t just manufacture toilet partitions, cubicles, lockers and cleanrooms. We perfect our work and our products. This striving for perfection and the best possible result is an ongoing and continuous improvement process that we live out both externally and internally. This aspiration drives us to always go the extra mile, to improve and move forward.

KEMMLIT takes a different approach. For us, the status quo is always just the level we are currently at, but we always have the next level in mind. We set ourselves goals in order to achieve them and grow along the way.
Inventiveness right from the start
In the 1940s, an Eternit department was established at Kemmler Baustoffe in Tübingen, which was spun off as Kemmlit GmbH in Dußlingen in 1967 and is still at home there today. Swabian inventiveness has always characterized the company’s DNA. The first Kemmlit type A partition wall was so robust that some of them are still used in restaurants today. Over the years, numerous innovations and further developments followed, which not only set standards, but were also awarded prestigious design prizes.
A foundation for centuries
In 1885, the entrepreneur Michael Pflum founded a cement factory in Dußlingen near Tübingen, from which the Kemmler family of building materials companies would develop over the coming decades. In 140 years of company history, the corporate family has experienced numerous crises and successfully weathered them all. Looking back, it is hard to imagine that the decision and courage of a young founder led to KEMMLIT successfully producing building elements for functional rooms as part of the company family at its founding location in Dußlingen since 1962 – and even as an industry leader.
