Structure and materials
BASIC Type D is a high-quality WC partition wall system made of formaldehyde-free solid chipboard. The 30 mm thick panels have a very high bulk density and strength. The surface has a directly applied melamine resin coating that is durable and easy to clean.
Edges are protected with robust ABS edgebanding. Aluminum profiles and elegant fittings ensure a harmonious, durable overall design. The torsion-resistant head profile ensures lasting stability even under heavy use.
Function and equipment
The lever handles are optionally made of shatterproof nylon with a metal core or aluminum with a WC lock. Alternatively, pull knobs with self-closing doors can be installed.
The partition feet with a stainless steel core have non-slip cover rosettes and an infinitely height-adjustable mechanism to compensate for floor slopes of up to 30 mm.
Optional feet made entirely of stainless steel, anodized aluminium feet with flat rosette or nylon rosettes are available. The two-roller aluminum edge hinges are fitted with maintenance-free bearing bushes.

D-BASIC is the most economical WC cubicle solution in the KEMMLIT range and is suitable for public and commercial sanitary areas where the focus is on functional separation. Typical areas of application are ancillary rooms, storage and production areas, social rooms, simple administration buildings and cost-critical construction projects where design and architectural effect play a subordinate role.
D-BASIC is consistently designed for cost reduction and functionality. The system reliably fulfills the basic requirements of a WC cubicle, but deliberately dispenses with additional design or comfort features. This makes D-BASIC the most cost-effective entry-level solution in the KEMMLIT portfolio.
D-BASIC consists of 30 mm thick wood-based panels. These enable a simple, functional construction and contribute significantly to the overall economic structure of the system.
Compared to C-BASIC, D-BASIC has a less robust design and is not intended for higher mechanical loads. While C-BASIC consists of HPL solid core panels, D-BASIC uses wood-based panels and is clearly positioned as a cost-effective basic solution.
D-BASIC is primarily intended for dry rooms and sanitary areas subject to normal wear and tear. For wet and damp rooms and areas subject to increased wear and tear, we recommend systems made of HPL solid core boards such as C-BASIC or CRONUS.
D-BASIC is designed for proven standard solutions. Common system heights, standard cubicle widths and functional door variants are possible. Special solutions or architectural customizations are deliberately not the focus of this series.
No. D-BASIC is designed for areas subject to normal wear and tear. For locations at risk of vandalism, we expressly recommend more robust systems such as C-BASIC, CRONUS or CELL Heavy-Duty.
D-BASIC is available in our 16 bestseller colors and a further 20 trend colors. Extensive special colors or individual design solutions are not planned for this series.
Yes. D-BASIC can also be planned and implemented barrier-free in accordance with DIN 18040-1. Appropriate cabin dimensions and door widths are taken into account.
The surfaces of the wood-based panels are easy to clean and suitable for daily use in functional sanitary areas. They are generally cleaned with mild cleaning agents.
