The cleaning of toilet partitions depends on the material used. As a general rule, regular maintenance not only preserves the appearance, but also contributes significantly to the hygiene and longevity of the systems.

  • HPL solid core boards and chipboard
    These surfaces can usually be cleaned easily with standard, mild cleaning agents and a soft cloth. For heavier soiling, gentle abrasive cleaners can also be used without damaging the surface.
  • Stainless steel surfaces
    Special stainless steel cleaners or a mild soap solution are recommended for stainless steel. This effectively removes fingerprints, water marks and light soiling. A soft cotton or microfiber cloth ensures an even, streak-free result.
  • Glass elements
    Glass partitions are best cleaned with a conventional glass cleaner and a lint-free cloth. In this way, streaks and residues can be reliably avoided.

To ensure that users can move around comfortably and safely in toilet cubicles, it is crucial that the cubicles are adequately dimensioned. In addition to subjective well-being, functional requirements also play an important role. We recommend the following minimum dimensions for standard WC cubicles:

  • Minimum area of the WC cubicle: approx. 1.25 m²
  • Minimum width of the cabin: 85 cm
  • Movement depth in front of the WC: at least 75 cm
  • Minimum height of WC partitions: 190 cm

Barrier-free toilet cubicles are subject to stricter requirements in order to enable people with limited mobility or wheelchair users to use them independently. We recommend the following minimum dimensions in particular:

  • Minimum width of WC cubicle door: 90 cm
  • Movement depth in front of the WC: at least 150 cm

We would be happy to advise you individually on the design and planning of your WC cubicles. As part of our project support, we naturally take into account the relevant minimum dimensions, standards and usage specifications to ensure a functional and standard-compliant solution.

In wet and damp rooms, special requirements apply in terms of material resistance, hygiene and ease of maintenance. In areas such as swimming pools, wellness facilities, spas, hotels or campsites, partition wall systems are therefore required that are permanently moisture-resistant and corrosion-resistant.

WC partitions made of glass, HPL solid core panels or sheet steel are particularly recommended for these areas of application. These materials are characterized by their high water resistance, robustness and easy and hygienic cleaning, making them ideal for heavily frequented wet rooms.

Flush-fitting is the term used to describe WC partition wall systems in which doors, fronts and wall elements lie in a continuous plane – without protruding profiles or visible projections.

The result is a calm, high-quality overall appearance. At the same time, cleaning is made much easier as dirt and moisture cannot accumulate on edges or protrusions.

Wall-hung screens are usually positioned centrally between the urinals. As a guideline, we recommend an upper edge of the screen of approx. 1,400 mm.

For safe and visually clean installation, the fixing points should – where possible – be selected so that the fixing bosses lie on tile joints. This reduces the risk of tile damage and ensures a harmonious appearance.
Particular attention should be paid to the existing structural conditions, such as tile levels, joint courses or the upper edges of brickwork.

The possible system heights depend on the respective partition wall system. Depending on the system type, heights of up to 2,800 mm can be realized without an attachment. Greater heights can also be achieved by using add-on elements.
